When it is time to host the game, the only thing more upsetting than your team losing is failing to serve up the right food. Fortunately, delicious food does not have to take a lot of preparation. Some of the best snacks come easy, like tasty three-ingredient sausage balls. Other crowd-pleasers include queso dip, spinach dip, and Buffalo wings.

Sausage Balls

Sausage balls are fantastic game day chow. They take a little more than 30 minutes and call for three simple ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 1 pound shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups biscuit mix

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Combine all the ingredients into a consistent dough. Form about 15 small balls from the dough and place them on an oiled and foiled baking sheet. Put the baking sheet in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, rotating them once. The cooked sausage balls can be frozen and reheated for 10 minutes at 350 degrees F.

Queso Dip

Queso dip goes well with pita bread, chips, and a variety of other foods.  It takes about 25 minutes and requires the following ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 4-ounce can green chilis
  • 1 minced jalapeño
  • 1 medium diced tomato
  • 12 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chopped cilantro

Cook the onion in oil over medium heat for five minutes before adding garlic and jalapeño. Let it cook for another minute, and then add the cheese and milk. Add salt and pepper as needed, and stir until everything melts. Then, mix the tomatoes, green chilis, and cilantro. This dip is hard to resist.

Spinach Dip

This delicious spinach dip needs at least 6 hours to chill, so plan ahead. First, stock up on the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 8-ounce package dry leek soup mix
  • 4-ounce can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 10-ounce package frozen spinach, chopped, thawed, and drained
  • 1 loaf round sourdough bread

This recipe is easy. Combine all of the ingredients except for the bread in a medium bowl. Make it as smooth as you can. Then, place it in the fridge overnight or for six hours. Remove the center of the round sourdough loaf to make a bowl for the sauce. Use the removed part of the loaf for dipping along with other chips or bread.

Buffalo Wings

Most people love good Buffalo wings. To make these, gather the following ingredients:

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • ¼ cup hot saucepan
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Ranch and chopped veggies for serving

To begin, preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Then, toss the wings with the oil, garlic, salt, and pepper, and place them in the oven on a wire rack over a baking sheet. Cook for about one hour, flipping after 30 minutes.

While the chicken is cooking, mix the honey and hot sauce in a small pan. Simmer it and add the butter, then cook until the butter melts. Put the oven on low, toss the wings in the buffalo sauce, and put back in the oven for about two minutes.
